I knitted Miss Bubby for my cousin’s baby daughter, Sofea. I couldn’t resist adding a special dress and a pretty bow to the original pattern. I think she looks very puurrtyyy.
KNITTING PATTERN FOR DOLL’S OR TEDDY’S DRESS
Finished measurements: 8.5cm x 8.5cm
Yarn: Small amount of Fairy Floss yarn by Lincraft, blue and red 8ply acrylic yarn
Needles: Size 4mm knitting needle
Instructions:
With Fairy Floss yarn, cast on 17 sts.
Rows 1-6: K
Row 7: K2tog, K to last 2 sts, K2tog
Row 8-10: K
Repeat Rows 7-10 two times (Rows 11-18)
Change to blue yarn.
Row 19: K2tog, K to last 2 sts, K2tog
Row 20: P
Row 21-25: Stockinette stitch (stocking stitch)
Bind off. Make another one.
Sew side seams of the Fairy Floss portion of the dress. Then sew the tips of the blue portion of the dress together (at the shoulders). Embroider heart shape on the front of the dress using red yarn and straight sts.
Finished measurements: 3 cm x 2 cm
Yarn: Small amount of pink 8ply acrylic yarn
Needles: Size 4mm knitting needle
Instructions:
With pink yarn, cast on 5 sts.
Rows 1-2: Stockinette st (stocking st)
Row 3: K2tog, K to last st, K2tog
Row 4: P
Row 5: K1, M1, K1, M1, K1
Row 6: P
Rows 7-8: Stockinette st (stocking st)
Bind off. Sew on to doll or dress using pink yarn; sew over the middle(narrower) part of the bow a few times.
