Crochet Hearts
I’m going back to Singapore later this week to visit family and friends. My grandfather passed away last Friday and I hope to bring a little bit of cheer to my grandmother while I’m there. I’ve only a few short days to organise things including gifts. I didn’t think I had enough time to bring handmade gifts but I was wrong!
I whipped these hearts up in a matter of hours. I just love the ease and speed of crochet. I’m giving these crochet hearts to my grandmother. I hope she’ll keep the big one for herself and give the smaller two to her great-granddaughters. Maybe when she misses me, she’ll hold the soft heart and remember that I still love her no matter the distance between us.
Pattern: Corazoncitos amigurumi hearts pattern
Yarn: Malabrigo Merino Worsted (American Beauty)
Hook: 4.5mm
I’ve got other ideas for more gifts and I’ll spend the rest of the day working on them. I’ll have another show and tell on Wednesday. Take care till then.

I am so sorry Salihan, this is my worst fear, my grandfather lives in Nicaragua, and I dread the day this happens, I am actually going to try to make it there this year, for this reason alone. I don’t know how close you were to your grandfather, but mine to me is my dad, he helped my single mother raise me until we move to Canada so I owe him everything..
