You don’t have to wait long or break the piggy bank to snuggle in bed with Perry. This lovable pear knits up quickly with only half a skein of bulky weight acrylic yarn. Bernat Softee Chunky is super soft, durable and economical. It’s a perfect weekend project and will make a great gift for little ones or those young at heart.

Using Bernat Softee Chunky and US 9 (5.5 mm) needles, 4 stitches = 1″ (2.5 cm) in stockinette stitch. Although exact gauge is not essential, it is best to knit tightly enough so that the polyester filling does not show through too much when the knitted fabric is slightly stretched.
