My baby eclectus parrot, Charlie, has had quite a rollercoaster ride the short few weeks he’s been with us. He’s still settling in and so are we! I’m still getting used to preparing food for him and getting him to come out to play. It’s a new experience for all of us!
Here are a couple of videos showing the exciting new things he has been up to. The first one is of him making a big mess while having dinner at the dining table. The second video is of his first shower!
We are seeing an avian vet today to give him his first check-up. Exciting!
On the knitting side, I have almost, almost finished knitting the second sleeve on the ribbed jacket! I also have a lot of other news to share with you and I will reveal them through the week. Stay tuned!
Hello! I’m Charlie.
This is my mummy. She is as green as me most of the time.
I have a furry brother. His name is Olly. He doesn’t pay much attention to me.
I have a sister too. Her name is Ifa. She is very nice. She tried to kiss me today but I didn’t want to be kissed by my sister! Eeewww! We sat together at the window though.
I love eating grapes. They are fun to pop with my sharp beak.
I ate so much fruit and seeds today. I feel happy when I full. Do you know what I do when I’m happy? Have a good listen…

Oh hang on.
Mummy said that she’ll be talking about knitting next week, whatever that is. Bye!
… often do not mix.
I think Olly prefers knitting.
P.S. The video on how to tunisian crochet can be found here. Happy crocheting!
My 7kg ginger cat, Olly, loves chasing dripping water. He will jump up onto the sink while I brush my teeth. Sit next to my head when I have a bath and licks the shower recess after I’ve had a shower!

Look what my 8 year old nephew, Jackson, did in class today:
(His bit is 46 seconds in, about drag racing)
